Halong City

Halong City, is a part of Quang Ninh Province. In other words Halong city is the cultural, economic and political centre of Quang Ninh Province. This city was formerly known as the Hon Gai Town. This city is situated just north to the famous Halong Bay.

Halong city is divided into two parts. These parts include East Halong and West Halong. The eastern part of Halong City is an industrial zone. In this zone most of the province's official buildings are also centralized. The western part which is also called Bai Chay, is the animated tourism zone. You can have a wonderful time visiting both the zones. If you want to know the city as a whole you should visit both the zones of the city. However, if fun and frolic are what you are seeking then you can have a galore of good time in the bah Chay region of Halong City.

A large section of the population of Halong City have emigrated from other places of Vietnam. Halong Bay is well known internationally. It is also recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. There are thousands of natural islands in this bay that are for its thousands of natural islands. Apart from that you will find a number of temples pagodas and historical ruins in the city.
